I grew me a melon!

Yes siree Bob I sure did!

Um it only took 3 months and had an entire garden bed devoted to it’s growth… probably not the best bang for ya buck.  But I did indeed get one melon out of the deal.

ohhh so pretty right?

these two didn’t quite get the time they needed to mature, but with the frost fast approaching I cut them down before their prime, oh shame.

they tasted exactly how you would think… like an un-ripe melon!

WOW how exciting! Shame the other two could not be ripened inside with something, like when you ripen avocados in a brown bag with apples??? someone might know

Hi, I love reading your blog, your photos are beautiful & I often laugh out loud reading your words. I just wanted to comment that I’m awfully impressed by your north American melon- I live in warm temperate Australia and have yet to produce one that could actually be eaten. Well done!
