the hills are alive!

Holy Crap! look what was in the local paper last week….

what I would give to see a real live bear! okay this one’s dead, but a real live one… and this happened spittin distance from the “wee house”

and then get a load of this…

come to think of it, we have heard some pretty strange howling sounds echoing out of the mountains…

okay I am officially afraid of practically every living thing outside. Great.

I know how you feel. We scared up a moose at our cabin this weekend and I was kind of nervous when we went for a hike later!

… and this is why it’s smart to have a rifle and/or shotgun out here in the country. 🙂

That’s my son’s brother-in-law that hit him. Talk about changing your pants!!! He totaled his car, too, in the process. Believe it or not they say that bear could have been up to 40 years old. I saw one once when coming through that same area in 1970…it could have been the same one? Keep your ears peeled and your eyes focused!

I remember one night at 3am riding my bike home and crossing a major street and there in the centre of the road was a coyote! It just stared at me and I rode real fast outta there. And I live in a big city. Crazy!
