I bought these for Mr Weiss for his birthday this year, aren’t they awesome?

Echoing cells splitting, they are called “Biologicals” and come from the crazy genius mind of Citizengershaw Designs, available here, a truly unique site that needs to be seen by you all.  Nothing like the tick tock of time (x 5) to remind you your getting old! HAHA.

The broom painting was done by Mr Weiss’s father in the sixties, like this one.

I just love people with such visionary ideas like this. Have you ever seen the works of Devorah Sperber? She works in a studio in Woodstock, but has many pieces displayed around NYC. Just Google her name and check out her amazing talents. Much of it is done with spools of thread, pipe cleaners, rapidograph pen tops, etc. Fascinating, to say the least. Hope the rain stops soon for you all. We just spoke with our son and he says another inch may be on the way, too. Batten down the hatches!

It’s funny that you mention Devorah Sperber. I saw her work at the MassMOCA in the Berkshires. Outstanding. I love how she puts together stunning and surprising images using such mundane objects. I made a piece I call ‘recycled icon’ that is similar in style to her mosaic work. I use recycled industrial cardboard tube cast offs cut to different lengths. When you look into them, there are different amounts of light and shadow. Then I assemble them into a mosaic. I was surprised how well it worked, so I’m going to try a few more variations on this. You can check it out at

    Thanks for featuring me today!
I just posted a new piece called cubes that I think is pretty cool.

I’m hanging out with Nate and Matty G. at the machine learning conference in Montreal. Thanks for sharing them with me. These guys are smart and hilarious. I miss them even more now that I’m reminded of how terrific they are. Love these guys.
