I have a fool proof method to make yourself the perfect soft boiled or hard boiled egg, every single time.
Place eggs in a pot and cover with about 1 inch of cold water. Bring to a boil, count off 30 seconds, turn off heat, cover and set timer for 3 minutes for soft boiled and 10 minutes for hard boiled. Drain and run under cold water for a few minutes. Perfect, every single time.

Soft boiled eggs…. top the eggs immediately when done to prevent overcooking. Earth shattering I know. Make some toast, cut into fingers… not exactly rocket science either.
4 boiled eggs cooled, peeled and chopped
2 tbsp chopped parsley
1/2 tsp dry mustard
1/4 tsp paprika
salt and pepper
mayo to bind
sometimes if I’m feeling really frisky I add finely chopped red onion and gherkins, for some extra crunch!
Mix everything together…. couldn’t be easier now could it?
