Alright so it’s not rocket science, but what do you put in your tuna salad?
Tuna Salad
1 5 oz can tuna in water, well drained
2 tbsp mayo, 1 tsp mustard
1 cornichon chopped, 1 scallion chopped, 1/2 red onion finely chopped 1/4 tsp celery salt, pinch pepper
Tuna sandwich toppings include sliced cucumber and tinned beetroot…. yes beetroot. Kiwi’s love beetroot, I mean the McDonald’s in New Zealand even did a special “kiwi burger” which had sliced beetroot, fried egg, onions, local cheddar, lettuce, tomato on a classic quarter pounder and don’t forget the “tommy sauce”!

Mr Weiss is subsequently hooked on canned beetroot in his sammy’s. Shame. I’ll turn him into a kiwi yet.
